This week we are joined by Charlotte Fowles, who is also known as ‘The Executive Adventurer.’ We dive deep with this executive coach and keynote speaker about comparison, loss, and the power of choosing adventures even when we've faced unchosen adventures. This episode is inspired by Week 9 in First Year of Grief Club, where the grief resilience experiment offered is "no comparing for one whole week."
Hiking alone and unsupported for days in the U.S. whilst on chemotherapy; freediving to 90ft on just one breath; spending three months driving an ancient 4-wheel drive through Botswana and Namibia... An expert in silencing the inner critic and increasing real self-confidence, real self-belief, and an inner peace and happiness that changes lives. 'After enduring over a decade of significant personal trauma - which included cancer, multiple miscarriages, and severe depression, to name just a few - she is an expert in creating triumph from tragedy and living a successful life in spite of this. Always one to practice what she preaches, she has spent a lot of her life pushing herself way outside her comfort zone in pursuits such as cold-water swimming through the winter (without a wetsuit!); scuba diving; marathon running (despite a hatred of running); and kayaking. She is passionate about mental wellness and the outdoors and is fascinated by the combinations of these elements that can bring about incredible change.
